Here’s a “how to” from Dino Lustri, our man in Cleveland.
AutoCAD Civil 3D gives you the option of attaching volume tables to sections you create. The process is quite simple and is part of the Create Section wizard. You also can add these tables after the sections have been created by editing the section group properties.
So, here’s the thing. If you have more than one materials list defined for your corridor, here’s what you might encounter if you are trying to attach a materials table to your section views. When you click the Add button to add the table, the volume table entry shows up in the table list, but nothing shows up in the materials list: just what we see in the picture below.
Click the OK button in the Select Material dialog. The window will close.
In the Materials List column of the Section View Tables dialog, click on the drop down list arrow at the right of the field, and select the materials list from the dropdown.
The materials list dialog originally was blank because there was no initial choice of the list. Once you’ve selected the correct materials list, you can go to the next column and select the materials to display.
Now, everything is as it should be and you’re good to go. Here’s the result.
Thanks, Dino!
