Autodesk Offers Students Free Three-Year Software Licenses

In an effort to strengthen the design and engineering-related disciplines and better students’ educational experiences, Autodesk is extending the license terms for all free versions of the student software related to its online Education Community from 13 to 36 months. This license term extension applies to over 25 products available for free download on the Autodesk Education Community.

Autodesk Extends Inventor Publisher to Mobile Devices

Autodesk introduced the latest release of Autodesk Inventor Publisher technical communications software. Autodesk Inventor Publisher 2011 software helps manufacturers explain and differentiate their products with clear, accurate and compelling 2D and 3D product documentation. The software incorporates many new user-requested enhancements, including the ability to publish 3D interactive instructions directly to iPhone, iPad and iPod touch mobile devices.

e-SPECS v6.0 Coming Soon!

e-SPECS v6.0 will include new Keynoting Management at the master and project levels with assignment of those coordinated keynotes to Revit families and materials directly through the e-SPECS Revit Plug-In Console.

Survey: Consumers Say 3D Product Images Sell, Lead to Fewer Product Returns

A strong majority of consumers say being able to see 3D images of prospective purchases online makes them more likely to buy those products, more likely to consider them high quality and less likely to return them, according to an Autodesk Design Survey conducted in early June.

Autodesk Announces AutoCAD for Mac and AutoCAD WS App for iPad and iPhone

Autodesk announced AutoCAD for Mac software. This version of AutoCAD, one of the most widely used software for professional design and engineering, runs natively on Mac OS X and will increase choice of hardware for millions of users around the world. Autodesk also announced the AutoCAD WS mobile application, a new app for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch that will allow users to edit and share their AutoCAD designs in the field.
