Official Release: BIM Spectrum Virtual Event Line-up Announced

Autodesk Offering Infrastructure Modeler Free with Qualifying Purchase

From now until April 13, 2012 qualifying seats of the Autodesk Infrastructure Design Suite Premium or Ultimate can receive a 12-month license of Infrastructure Modeler. This pre-design visualization program helps civil engineers and planners showcase the what-if scenarios quickly and easily to non-engineering audiences. IMAGINiT Technologies Expands Product and Services Offering into New South Wales, Australia

IMAGINiT Technologies has expanded operations by opening a new office with authorization to sell Autodesk products in the Australian state of New South Wales. From this location, IMAGINiT will support clients in the architectural, engineering, manufacturing, and civil industries with leading 3D design and engineering software from Autodesk, as well as provide training, support, and implementation services to customers. The company has also expanded its’ operations in the state of Victoria with authorization to add Autodesk architecture, construction and civil engineering software to their range of design and engineering products. 

In addition to the recent expansion in Australia, the Technology Industry Association (TIA), a non-profit, member-based organisation which serves as the official voice for the technology industry in South Australia, recently honoured IMAGINiT with the Award of Excellence for Service to the Electronics and ICT Industry.

Autodesk Expands BIM for Infrastructure Product Portfolio with New Software for Conceptual Design and Electric Utilities

Autodesk announced the release of Autodesk Infrastructure Modeler 2012 software for conceptual design and AutoCAD Utility Design 2012 software for electric utility design, two new additions to the Autodesk Building Information Modeling (BIM) for Infrastructure portfolio for planning, designing, building, and managing more sustainable infrastructure. These new products complement the Autodesk Infrastructure Design Suite 2012, to help industry professionals increase efficiency and remove waste from their processes.

BIM for Renovations and Retrofits
This hour long webcast is about leveraging BIM and Revit on your renovation and retrofit projects. Using Revit you can improve design visualization, enhance construction and performance predictability, minimize errors by starting with a point cloud and more.

Using Point Clouds in Civil 3D
This 40 minute presentation demonstrates the use of large data sets (point clouds) in AutoCAD® Civil 3D® drawings. We look at what the data is all about, importing the points into the point cloud database and working with the clouds in a drawing (styles and display). Then we demonstrate some of the surface creation tools and see how these clouds can work with other objects in Civil 3D.
