Have you ever wanted to create a PLT using the Publish
command. This does not appear possible. When you plot a single sheet with this
turned on the Dialog turns it off automatically. This is not even listed in the
Plot Setup Manager Dialog. So how can we perform this task. Well, we must
create a PC3 file out of the plotter in question and turn this option on in the
PC3 file. Then use this PC3 file as your plotter.
Plot Dialog
1.) Start the Plot command
2.) In the Print/Plot Dialog select the Plotter you would like to use
3.) Once the Plotter is selected. Select the Properties button just to the right
4.) Once in this Dialog Select the Port tab
5.) Once on the Port tab select Plot to File
6.) Select OK
7.) A dialog will appear wanting you to give this a name it also lets you use a temp file but we must have ours so name this something you will remember for our example use your name.
8.) select OK
9.) configure the rest of the Dialog as you would like.
10.) On the top of the Plot Dialog select Add
11.) type in a Page setup name and select OK
12.) this last step creates a new Page Setup which can be used in the Publish Dialog
13.) You can now cancel the Plot Dialog because we are not actually going to plot, this will dismiss the Dialog.
Page setup Manager (Another way to create the Page setup if you performed the steps under Plot Dialog you can skip this step)
1.) Start the Page setup manager command
2.) In the Page setup manager Dialog select Modify or New to create a or edit an existing Page setup

3.) Once the Plotter is selected. Select the Properties button just to the right
4.) Once in this Dialog Select the Port tab
5.) Once on the Port tab select Plot to File
6.) Select OK
7.) A dialog will appear wanting you to give this a name it also lets you use a temp file but we must save ours so name this something you will remember for our example use your name.
8.) Select OK
9.) Configure the rest of the Dialog as you would like.
10.) Select OK to close the Page setup Dialog
11.) Select close to close the Page setup Manager Dialog
Publish
1.) Start the publish command
