You want to archive your project, which for a Revit Server based environment means that you need to create detached local copies of all of your Revit central files. In Clarity this is available as an automated task.
There’s a Task in Clarity which allows you to backup a project. An Admin on the project will need to log in to set up the backup task.
How To:
Select Tasks, then on the right select Task Setup
Select BackupProject then New Task
Then specify the Name, Scope and Project. Under Scope set it to Project backup and the project you are associating this backup to. Then set how the task will run.
Schedule allows you to set the following options: timed, immediate or none. Timed is run at a specified time, Immediate means it is at a new check-in and None means it is not Automatic. Launchable if set to yes indicates that a user can manually launch this command on demand from the task from the project page*. Though it is an option to set it to Immediate, it is not recommended since this would generate a project backup every time someone does a save to central.
*If Administrator required is set to Yes, then only an admin can launch the task from the project page.
Specify the other information as needed.
You can run the task from the Project page under Tasks, select Backup
This will create a zipped file of detached local copies of every RVT file in the project. It will be stored on the server, but you can also opt to have an additional copy sent to a UNC folder or an FTP site.
