Recently a Plant 3D customer asked how to turn off the boxes or frames in his P&ID drawings around the tags in his equipment annotation.
Since the blocks for the tags are using the AutoCAD Wipeout object which masks any lines behind it with the background color, the frame for the wipeout needs to be turned off in this instance.
Use the Wipeout command like this:
WIPEOUT
F (for Frames)
Off
With the wipeout frames turned off, the tags are much easier to read. This problem usually occurs when wipeouts are used elsewhere in the drawing and their frames are turned on to help position the wipeout and turning them off again is overlooked.
