If you are still learning the Ribbon system in your AutoCAD, AutoCAD Architecture or AutoCAD MEP but still want to see the old menus at the top of your interface here is what you will need to do.
At the command line type CUI and hit enter.
In the Customize User Interface on the Customize tab select on the current workspace in the panel on the left. In the right panel you will see everything that is associated with that particular workspace.
Within the Workspace Contents click on the Customize Workspace button. You will notice that items in the left panel show check boxes and some of those check boxes have green checks in them. Put a check mark next to Menus and click the Done button from the Workspace Contents. You will click on the Apply and OK button to accept the changes to the CUI and the Customize User Interface dialog box will close.
If you do not see your menus above the ribbon you will need to turn them on by typing menubar at the command line and setting it to 1. (zero means off and the number one means on)
