I do not have Autocad 2014 on my pc.

I register with autodesk and gained access to download autocad 2014 but i get a communication failure message.

I do not know what is wrong and i really need autocad 2014 as it is used at the institute i study with and requires me to practice at home

What you might be encountering is your antivirus or firewall or User account control setting blocking you. We have a blog with this error message: http://blogs.rand.com/support/2013/05/communication-failure-error-when-trying-to-install-after-downloading-the-autodesk-package.html

But what it could most certainly be is that you are using the install now and not the download now. Switch your download type by clicking on the small white triangle and selecting "Download Now"

Another option if you cannot get it to download from the Subscription center is to go through the virtual agent. Select "download links" and then "Autodesk suites" and then your software suite. Make sure you are connected into your network and not trying to download via wi-fi this will make a big difference.
