Hello from a new face to the IMAGINiT Team!
As you may have seen or heard by email, looking at our web site, word of mouth, or any number of other avenues, IMAGINiT Technologies and Avatech Solutions have merged together as of 8/17/2010. My name is Joe Eichenseer, and I’m a Building Solutions Team Manager for IMAGINiT – and prior to the merger I was a team manager for Avatech Solutions as well… One of the things I’ve volunteered to do within this new combined organization is to take over lead blogging responsibilities for this Building Solutions blog, and I’d like to take a moment on this first post to answer a question. A question you may not have asked or thought about… or a question that you may have asked and received an answer for already.
What does the merger of Avatech and IMAGINiT mean to you?
Our formal web page for information related to the merger is here, but I’d like to answer this from the perspective of the Building Solutions Technical Services team and make a very Zen-like answer:
Everything and Nothing
If you want to be sure that you continue working with the people that you’ve come to know and appreciate, nothing is going to change. Everyone you know and work with is still here and available to assist you as we have in the past.
However….
The combined company’s Building Solutions Technical Services team has essentially doubled in size, increasing our team’s depth and capabilities. If you want to take advantage of all that this new combined organization has to offer, our ability to partner with you has expanded even beyond what we could do as separate companies.
For your relationship with Avatech or IMAGINiT, there’s really nothing more to know. There’s an absolutely incredible team out here whose purpose is to do everything we can to make you more successful. The team that you used to know now has a larger pool of resources available – should you choose to take advantage of it.
I’m not going to turn this blog post into a big self-promoting advertisement (it’s probably gone too long already), but for my inaugural blog post I felt that this would be a good way to kick things off and introduce myself.
I have just one more thing, a question from me to you...
I need feedback. Comments. Your opinions, guidance, suggestions, submissions, ideas, propositions.
What do you want to see in this blog?
I’ll be posting all sorts of things that I find interesting and relevant, but that might not meet your expectations or desires, and in the end, I’m here to make this blog pertinent for you. I’m also a social creature… without feedback to this and other posts, I’ll start to wonder if anyone is reading the blog or if anyone cares about what I’m babbling on about. If that happens, the frequency of updates to the blog would probably decrease as I fall in to a pit of self-doubt and enter into my pity party of one. [cue sorrowful music interlude]
I know you won’t let that happen, so let’s start here! Leave a comment if you would like to see anything happen within this blog and I’ll do what I can to fulfill your wishes and expectations. My mantra here is the same I have in all other parts of professional life, “If I don’t have the answer, I know someone at IMAGINiT who does”.
