Controlling a Detail View's View Range

Have you ever wondered why a detail view (especially an enlarged plan detail) works in a different way than most other callouts? Well, I don't really have an answer for that, but what I do have for you is a way to understand what it is doing and how to control the results you get.

But before you get to that fun bit - here's a question for you: Do you prefer video tips like this one and the previous post about splitting schedules, or do you prefer printed words and screen captures? Comment on this post and let me know!

Splitting a Schedule Across Sheets in Revit

We had a few questions come in to our support center recently with a common theme - something along the lines of, "I have a really big schedule in Revit that won't fit in one column or even one sheet. How can I get this schedule to span multiple sheets?"

I'm back... and Scan to BIM 2012!

It’s been a while since the last post – I’ll blame traveling through Oregon, Washington, Florida, and Ohio. I don’t really know if that is a truly justified excuse, but it’s mine!

To make up for lost time, I’d like to throw out a bit of a preview of Scan to BIM 2012! It took some heavy convincing and pleading with the powers that be, and I had to walk across a crocodile pit while in Florida while carrying… well… ok… Beau Turner just sent it to me. But this is the first place where you’ll be able to see a teaser about it!! :)
