A few months back I recorded a blog post for CAD Shack and answered a question about Autodesk Remote and how it was pretty decent (and free for customers with an active subscription), but that its usefulness would be limited for Building Design professionals until Autodesk achieved a level of integration with Revit like they have with Inventor.
Well, now we have it.
Over the weekend, I received notice of an update to the Autodesk Remote app for my iPad and then also a notice on my laptop for an update to the Autodesk Remote software for it as well. Updates were a breeze and after it was done, my laptop was updated to version 1.5.0.2:

Keyboard settings:
Navigation settings, including panning and orbiting:
... and a Layout Overview for Revit:
I've tested response time / screen refresh rate when both my laptop and iPad were in the office together and it was very good. I'll be testing soon when my laptop is at the office and I am at home, connecting through a home DSL service. I did test with the laptop at home and me at my son's French Horn Lesson, connecting through my phone's 3G hotspot. That low end connection was not good. Go figure. :)
Has anyone else reading this tried the updated Autodesk Remote with Revit yet?
As always, have fun!
