Hi Joe,
Thanks for explaining the Revit origin origin so clearly!
So what do I do now that I have an existing Revit project that did NOT start a the correct Project Base point?
If I try and move the objects I get all kinds of issues... with unbinding and failed extrusions...

I'm afraid there is no simple answer to your question. You probably won't be able to correct the issue without some errors, the trick is to find the method that produces the least angst.
