A useful new functionality has been added to the AutoCAD Architecture 2012 software that has made it easier to add corner windows. The process is similar to inserting non-corner windows. First I draw the walls that create the corner and then I use the Corner Window command to place the window at the corner of the walls. This makes adding corner windows quick and easy. The Corner Window command is located in the Home tab>Build panel and in the Tool Palettes>Design group>Design tab.
I can customize the corner window, by changing its properties in the Properties palette. The options for corner windows are similar to those of windows, but there are three options specific to corner windows: Width 1, Width 2, and Opening measure. I can use Width 1 and Width 2 to set the width of the two sides of the window. The Opening measure option enables me to specify whether the opening is measured from the outside of the opening, the center of the opening, or the inside of the opening.
