I swear this will be my last Autodesk University post until next year ramps up, but I wanted to share some photos from Las Vegas and in the same super post wish all my readers a Happy Holidays and a Merry Christmas.
The first photo is of our booth at AU. Click here for image. What was fantastic about the booth is that we were one of the first trade show booths ever to have a 100% recycled leather floor. In fact our entire booth was either recycled or recyclable. The counter tops were made of pressed reed, the lighting was all low usage LEDs, and the frame made of aluminum. We also did the Virtual Trade show so none of our collateral became paper waste from grabbers and not readers. Our USB drives were a big hit again this year as we gave out close to 800 of them which all had a link to the tradeshow and also show a green icon in your windows explorer for the drive.
As I walked around the show I noticed a lot of companies were talking green, but they were not showing green especially in their displays and over indulgence of materials. Autodesk really went the extra sustainable mile with their cardboard chairs and 100% recycled notepads and pens and the AU bamboo shirts.
These last images you can consider my greeting cards. The first is of a fantastic tree in the Venetian hotel and the second is why I work so hard.
My two sons Mason (2 and a half yrs old, left) and Merrick (5 and a half).
As for next week, I will be doing a sheet metal topic and whitepaper. Stay tuned and as always, may your mouse zoom in the right direction!
