**Update: See the full video with audio here: 20 Tips in 20 Minutes**
This year at AU2009 I conducted a Inventor 20 tricks in 20 minutes presentation on the exhibit room floor. I figured I would post them here as well for those that wanted to see them again as well as my current readers that could not attend the show. I am going to break this down into four posts...Sketching, Parts, Assemblies, and Drawing Manager. Here are my next 5 tips involving assemblies...
Tip 1: Multiple Component Placement - Click here for link to old post
Tip 2: Content Center Favorites - add favorites to you Content Center so you don't have to open the CC dialog each time but rather browser drop.
Tip 3: Associative Patterns - pattern components inside the assembly based on a part's feature patterns (not sketch)
Tip 4: Link Levels of Detail - use to Link user defined Levels of detail to avoid deep diving sub-assemblies for manual assignment.
Tip 5: Rendered Section Cut - create an assembly level cut and drive it withe Parameters; use Animate Parameters in Inventor Studio for animation
I hope you enjoyed these tips, sometimes even the little things you miss in training can make you much more productive, and for every tip that involves less mouse clicks you stave off the carpal tunnel syndrome yet another day!
