Autodesk Inventor's Task Scheduler has a lot of tools to perform common tasks to a large set of files as a headless operation. Tasks such as Save As, Export, Migrate, Check in to Vault, and many others. When you perform these tasks on large sets of files it can cause Task Scheduler to degrade in performance. There are a couple things you can do to make Task Scheduler run smoother.
The first tip I will give you is before you do anything with Task Scheduler, take a backup of the database it generates. Task Scheduler will bloat this database and slow down performance logging for the tasks. Keeping a clean one will keep your Task Scheduler running smooth and fast for your jobs.
Another great tip for Task Scheduler that will greatly enhance the performance is to add more CPU processors to run more background sessions of Inventor. This will speed up any task dramatically over the default of only 1 processor. This setting is located under Setttings.
