How to Export the Specification Tree

To export the specification tree,

  1. Open the desired assembly model.
  2. Go to the  File_menu menu and select Save As.

  3. From the launched Save As dialog box, go to the Save as type section.
  4. Click on the  Drop_down_button  button next to the Save as type field, as shown.

  5. Select the txt (*.txt) option.
  6. You will get a text file that contains only your specification tree.

 

These steps will not work for CATPart models.  Though for CATIA part models, any parameter in the specification tree can be exported by script or macro.
