Starting with Inventor 2012 Service Pack 2, the service pack install behaviour has changed:
Service Packs now include the previous service packs and fixes!
This means you don't need to install all the service packs to be up to date, just the latest one.
This is going be the norm going forward, any new service packs will be installing the same way for Inventor 2012 and 2013.
However if you uninstall Inventor Service Pack 2, it will uninstall Service Pack 2 and Service Pack 1 will remain installed along with any of the fixes that were installed prior to Service Pack 2.
