In the above example, you should put the
ER, *ERASE
at the end of the acad.pgp file in the "User Defined Command Alias" section. This area of definitions will override any previously defined aliases.

Good stuff.
An easy way to open the acad.pgp (or any other file in the AutoCAD search path is to type @ the command line:
(startapp "notepad" (findfile "acad.pgp"))
