Yep, came across the same issue. Took a long time to work out what was going on but finally discovered it was the irregular shape crop. The pdf which should have been about 500kb was 140Mb

Have you noticed any change in this file size issue with Revit 2015 or 2016?

Sherry

I tested a 2015 and 2016 file with an irregular crop boundary with diagonals and both file sizes were normal, not bloated as before.

I'm using 2015 and I have the same issue. The building we're working with is shaped like an "R", is divided into 3 sectors and I was trying to use irregular crop regions but had huge problems.

The size blew up from 1.7mb to 1.6gb. Yes, Gigabyte.

I tried using Bluebeam RevuCAD to bypass our Server (it was crashing) and PDF creator but the file would take 15 minutes to PDF. I worked with the bluebeam team but they had similar results. In the end I used regular crop regions.
