Ever wonder what controls those Ribbons. When you select an Object it changes the Ribbon Menu to the Ribbons that effect the Object. This is called "Contextial Tab Display". This can be very useful or completely annoying depending on your preference. We can control these turning off the function or making it work using double clicks instead of single. Here is how we control these.
Control Contextial Tab Display
1.) Launch Options (Right click the Command Line and select options)
2.) Go to the Selection Tab
3.) In the lower right corner select the Button "Contextual Tab states" under the Ribbon section
4.) These are the controls for Contextial Tab Display
- Do not switch to contextual tab on selection: Turn this feature off and do not change the Ribbon Automatically (If this is driving you crazy this is for you)
- Show on single-click: This is the default and a single click on the object will change the Ribbon.
- Show on double-click: This will perform the same way as "Show on single-click" but you must double-click rather than single-click
5.) select OK
6.) Select Ok to go back to the Drawing Window
Now the change should take effect.
