The way the current Clarity notification system works:
- Anyone who manually starts a task gets notified.
- If a task is set to email notification (as shown in the image below), it will send out notifications to Coordinators/Admins upon completion.
- If a task errors out, it will send out notifications to Coordinators/Admins on completion.
- IF the admin changes the setting for “Notify Admins/Coordinators” to “No”, then in the case of 2&3 above, only coordinators who are explicitly assigned to the project will receive emails.
- If the task expires, it will send an email to all Admins/Coordinators, unless the Admin changes the setting for “Notify Admins/Coordinators” to “No”, then in the case of 2&3 above, only coordinators who are explicitly assigned to the project will receive emails.
If the task has an error:
- It will notify the originator
- This is based on your login to the Clarity Web portal
- Depending on the task settings “Email Notifications” it may send out notifications to additional users (admins and project coordinators).
- Depending on the Server Settings for “Notify Admins/Coordinators” of Error Tasks (it may or may not send out errors to additional users). (See image below)
If the task does not have an error:
- It will notify the originator (manual launch only)
- This is based on your login to the Clarity Web portal
- Depending on the task settings “Email Notifications” it may send out notifications to additional users (admins and project coordinators)
If the task expires:
- If the task expires, it will send an email to all Admins/Coordinators, unless the Admin changes the setting for “Notify Admins/Coordinators” to “No”, then in the case of 2&3 above, only coordinators who are explicitly assigned to the project will receive emails.
Global Email Settings
There are also global settings that are on the Server Tab, Settings, under Task Processing
