This has been a request for ages and it is finally here! I know some of you probably already know this...but for those who don't....
Now when you create a schedule there is a parameter field named "Image" which you can add to your schedule.
You can use any of the following formats for the image file:
In the schedule view you will pick in the Image column across from the family type you want to add the image to. In my example I did a lighting schedule where I wanted to show the symbolic representation of the families.
In the Manage Images dialog, chose an existing image or add a new one. You also have the ability to "
Reload From" if the image has been updated and needs to be brought in again.
You will notice that in the schedule view above it only lists the name of the image file, it does not actually show the image. The image will be visible once the schedule is placed on the sheet.
Some things to keep in mind:
- Orient all images the same direction (i.e. the wide edge of the image should be horizontal)
- If you want them all the same size you will have to adjust the image size prior to bringing them into Revit.
- The images rescale as you stretch the width of the column
- I did screen captures of the symbolic view of the families in Revit, as you can see some look better than others.
