Plot to HP Plotters ( Designjet T7100, T2500, or other model) Causes issues.
Issues Caused
- Printed output is cropped to a smaller page size, usually Letter (8.5x11) and shows just a portion of the entire page, even though print preview looks correct.
- Printed output is scaled to a smaller page size and will not retain the page setting selected in page setup.
- Print jobs seem to spool successfully from AutoCAD but hang in the print queue and never complete. The printer may report a media size error.
- The following message appears on screen, usually after printing but also when editing the page size at any point within AutoCAD:
The selected layout has an invalid media configuration. Additionally, when selecting "<Previous Plot>" from the Page Setup menu at the top of the plot window in AutoCAD, the page size will not change back to what was just used. A different page size is selected, albeit with the same dimensions (e.g., "Arch C" will change to "SuperC/A2").
To work around this issue
- Plot to PDF and then Plot from PDF Reader etc (You could use Publish to Multi-PDF file in order to Plot a set).
- Plot to DWF and then Plot using Design Review 2013 (Publish to a Multi sheet DWF then plot from Design Review 2013)
Design Review 2013 Download Page
- Use AutoCAD 2015 or True View 2015 or earlier
Trueview earlier version download page
