When reviewing your debug log you notice this string:
(adskflex) UNSUPPORTED: "86063ACD_2014_0F" (xxxx xxxx xxxx xxxx ) user@computer (License server system does not support this feature. (-18,327:10054 ""))
Solution:
Have the user reboot the machine then try to re-open the software. This message in the debug log can also be ignored but if its not allowing a user to grab a license then further action is needed by doing the following:
-
Set an environment variable on the user machine to specify one or more license servers for your Autodesk products:
· On the Start menu (Windows), click Settings > Control Panel.
· Double-click System.
· In the System Properties dialog box, click the Advanced tab.
· Click Environment Variables.
· Under System Variables, click New.
· In the Variable Name box, enter ADSKFLEX_LICENSE_FILE
· In the Variable Value box, enter the license server(s) in the following format:
2080@server1;2080@server2;2080@server3 (where server is the hostname or IP address of your license server)
Click OK to close out of all of dialog box. -
Update your Autodesk Network License Manger to the latest version. This can be found here: http://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Latest-version-of-the-Autodesk-Network-License-Manager.html
- Another issue could be the license file has become corrupt. Run it through the license parser at http://www.licenseparser.com/ and verify there are no errors that are found. In this example you can see at the bottom it is stating "There was an error locating the package definition in this license file.
- If there is a error you need a new license file. You do this by going to Autodesk Register Once. Here are step by step instructions from Autodesk on "Requesting a new license file"
