So far I have not seen any issues with installing 2015 on the Windows 10 operating system but I have found some things with 2016 that I have written up in a blog found here: Installing Revit 2016 on Windows 10.
For the majority of the installs to work I needed to remove the prerequisites and 3rd party information from the setup.ini file. Here is what I did:
If you have the media you will need to copy it to your computer.
From the C:\Autodesk\Building Design Suite 2015 folder open the Setup.ini in note pad.
From the Format drop down menu make sure you have word wrap turned on.
From the Edit pull down menu select of Find...
In the find dialog box type PREREQUISITE then click on the Find Next button.
You will delete the entire prerequisite line. Click on the Find Next button or use your F3 key to find the next prerequisite line.
Next you will delete the entire 3rd Party Components section.
You will delete all the way down to where it picks back up at AutoCAD.
You will get a pop up that says Section MSI is Missing! Go ahead and click OK and you should be able to continue to the install page.
If you get an error that says Section IE is missing!. This means that you missed deleting a prerequisite somewhere and you need to re-open the setup.ini and run a search PREREQUISITE.
Thanks for this guide! It's great for people to know how to get these sort of programs installed, especially on a newer OS like Windows 10.

Stupid question - how do you get the altered text back from Notepad into the .INI format?

You will open the setup.ini in notepad then do a save as or save to write over the existing setup.ini file. Make sure you rename the original one to setup.ORG.ini. You can do that by clicking once on the name and then again to highlight the text to add ORG to it.
In the save as dialog box you can change the "save as type" you are saving as to all files so it doesnt save it as a txt file.

You can install Revit 2015, 2016 and 2017 on Windows 10. These steps are if you run into any issues with failure to install.
