Missing Collaboration for Revit 2016 projects after installing Collaboration for Revit 2017

Revit Collaboration for Revit 2016 Project files go missing after you install 2017 Revit and Collaboration for Revit.

Solution:

Verify you are on Update 4 for Revit 2016.

Verify you are on Collaboration for Revit v5 

NOTE: When trying to install the Collaboration for Revit v5 you may get a message that it failed to install. This will mean that you have to remove the current version of Collaboration for Revit then try to install v5 again.
