If you are unable to activate your Autodesk software, connect to the cloud, or launch your software due to security on your machine you can attempt to do the following. I strongly recommend that you add the URLs below to your antivirus exceptions.
For Antivirus software
Given directly from Autodesk Tech support:
Antivirus software can affect the installation of the program. After the program is installed, if you can make exclusions in your antivirus software, it may be useful to exclude the Autodesk folders:
C:\Program Files\Autodesk
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Autodesk
Also, creating exceptions for the various types of files used by Autodesk products can be helpful. Here is a list of some file types used by Autodesk programs:
3ds, ac$, apj, bak, ctb, cui, cuix, dcl, dst, dwf, dwg, dwl, dwl2, dwt, fbx, ipt, lin, ma, mat, max, mb, mns, mnu, pat, pgp, rfa, rft, rte, rvt, shp, shx, stb, sv$
You may need to also add the following:
.sq* (sqlite), .wdp, .ldb, .mdb, .mui, .aux, .chm
If you are using AutoCAD Electrical, you may need to add an exception to:
C:\Users\YOUR-USER-NAME\Documents\Acade 201x (where x varies depending upon your version of the product)
For Internet Securities
Given directly from Autodesk Tech support:
The following list of sites should be added to the "Trusted Sites" (Internet Options). They should be allowed to communicate through ports 80 and 443, and have an exception rule on proxy for anonymous access: NOTE: If any of the error when entering them put the https:// in front of it and remove the asterisk*.

Ken Williams from the IMAGINiT Solution Center team created a batch file that will automatically add the trusted sites for you. Within the zipped TrustedSites folder double click on the 'ClickMe' batch file.
That is all you have to do and they will be added provided there is no permissions blocking you to add trusted sites in which case you will need to ask your IT to add the trusted sites.

Below are extra items that are also very important to verify on the user machine when working in the software, installing/downloading or working with or in the cloud.
User permissions
Autodesk needs the user's window profile to not just be a part of the admin group but that the users window profile has full control over the Autodesk folders and registry: What folders need full permissions for each user?
For Proxy Server use
Here is a link to proxy server information as well as more information on trusted Autodesk sites. Proxy Server settings
Turn off the User account control setting
- Open User Account Control Settings by clicking the Start button , and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type uac, and then click Change User Account Control settings.
- To turn off UAC, move the slider to the Never notify position, and then click OK. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation. You will need to restart your computer for UAC to be turned off.
User machine temp folder
Empty out your temp folder of everything that will allow you to delete. If the item(s) have not been saved somewhere else it will not allow you to delete it and you can hit the skip button. The temp folder is found in the C:\Users\your user profile folder\AppData\Local\ folder.
