Error installing Revit or Revit LT 2018 - Failing to install ODBC

Issue:
You are not able to install Revit (or Revit LT) 2018 due to an Error installing Revit/LT that starts a rollback with ODBC failing to install at he end of Installing Revit 2018 main component. Usually the Icon shows up then disappears a few seconds later when the roll back begins. You can check the log file, and the roll back begins in the log at the ODBCInstallDriver64.

Causes:
The installation is failing on the attempt to install ODBCInstallDriver64.msi because Windows already has an ODBC driver installed.

Solution:
A corrected *.msi file (generated by Autodesk) as a work around to the problem, can be downloaded and used to replace the existing Revit (or Revit LT) 2018 install *.msi, on downloaded installers or deployments that include Revit/Revit LT 2018.
