With ReCap Pro or any of the named users products from Autodesk it is recommended to always download the newest version of the product from either a trial sometimes the trial is the newest version or from your Autodesk Account page. If it has been a while since you last downloaded ReCap/ReCap Pro as either a single product or you're installing it from a suite download, it is out of date almost immediately since there is a number of releases and updates through out the year. You'll notice you get a message stating there is an update and it needs to be installed when you first launch ReCap/ReCap Pro.
The updates for ReCap/ReCap Pro have to be installed in order and can't be skipped. For an example the update title AutodeskReCap_v4.2.0.2_to_v4.2.1.7_x64.msp will need to be installed before AutodeskReCap_v4.2.1.7_to_v4.2.2.15_x64.msp and so on, until the product is up to date. Depending on what version your download of ReCap/ReCap Pro, there could be a number of updates that you need to install.
